Fleeing from Corporate Warfare

James ran down the wall of the stairway Patrick had come up, then out into the main lobby, which was empty. Seeing the ramp, he jumped onto it and slid. From behind he heard gunshots. He looked up, and saw Patrick holding himself up on the now empty shotgun, firing pistol rounds at him. "JAMES!" One zipped past his head, but he ducked and rolled onto the floor, running into a close-by opened vent. An enraged bellow came into the airduct.
